Like - dust
Likedust . . .
Like powder . . .
soft
like quite . . .
still
like faint . . .
blue arrives
Like haze – white
while light beams
like the dust settles we lie
As mornings
resurrects
and stone breaks
birth began with warmth
it grew with love
flowered with time
and passed like pollen – like dust
As dusk rides on
toiled dreams forgotten
condensing life – dust
casing shapes - the memories ungotten
yet shadowing that soul forever
As the night envelops
and clouds obscure
those memories haunt us - luminescent
and whispers allure like wind they rustle
arousing our creatures to bustle
Deep as hunger and
wide so eyed
thirsty with lustful intent
Courting for sport
we bleed the prize
like water emotions are spent
Now rich in the wealth
and full with ourselves
we’ll promenade at the cusp
But now is the time
in the past to reside
like white
like powder
like dust . . .
